VASCULAR LESIONS

Almost every adult has a few squiggly red or blue veins that appear on their face and legs. Aptly called spider veins, these are vascular lesions caused by a variety of factors including heredity, physical stress (on legs), hormones and sun damage. Another type of vascular lesion is called a cherry angioma - and appears as a tiny red dot on the face.

The V-Raser is an ideal treatment for the fine veins that are visible on the face – typically found on the cheeks and around the nose. This tiny laser weighs less than a laptop – and has become a doctor favorite for ease of use in treatment of facial veins. The laser energy safely targets the red or blue veins – not the surrounding skin – and works by gently collapsing the vessel so that it no longer is visible.

The PhotoAcoustic energy of the MedLite C6 and RevLite can also be used to treat vascular lesions including facial veins. Working along the same principle, the PhotoAcoustic waves collapse the tiny veins and they disappear.

The result is a clearer, healthier-looking complexion.
